About the Hotel
The Breakers is one of America's greatest resort hotels — a 140-room Italian Renaissance palazzo on the Atlantic shore of Palm Beach, opened in 1896 by Henry Flagler and rebuilt in its current magnificent form in 1926, still family-owned by the Flagler System and still the standard-bearer for American grand resort tradition. The 50,000-square-foot spa includes Finnish sauna, steam rooms, thermal pool circuit, and an indoor/outdoor pool complex designed in classical Mediterranean style. Palm Beach's Worth Avenue shopping, the Norton Museum of Art, and the Palm Beach Polo Club complete the gilded environment. The resort operates across 140 oceanfront acres; the Beach Club stretches 1,300 feet along the Atlantic.
